We are looking for a hard-working Director of Global Supply Chain and Logistics to represent Black Rabbit and to communicate effectively to the client and back to the BR organization. The Director of Global Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for overseeing the global supply chain and logistics planning. He or she is a leader in the organization and will have a staff to manage the workload within the daily hours.
Opportunity:
The Director of Supply Chain and Logistics at Black Rabbit 3PL will oversee and manage the company's supply chain and logistics strategy and operations, including all aspects of procurement, warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, global customs, and global parcel fulfillment, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
This role involves working closely with the Chairman and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Director of Business Operations, to ensure alignment with strategic goals, as well as overseeing all aspects of procurement, storage, transportation, and fulfillment operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Director of Global Supply Chain Responsibilities:
Work with Black Rabbit’s COO to develop and implement a supply chain strategy that aligns with the overall growth objectives of the Company.
Manage and optimize global supply chain and logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL coordination.
Will work alongside the Director of Business Operations to oversee fulfillment operations, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery.
Establish and maintain relationships with providers, ensuring high service levels and adherence to contractual obligations.
Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, other 3PL providers and carriers to secure favorable terms and improve operational efficiency.
Implement analytics and process improvement initiatives to enhance performance across all areas of supply chain and fulfillment.
Ensure compliance with logistics and trade regulations.
Stay informed on industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Work with finance and other departments to forecast demand and ensure supply and fulfillment operations meet business needs and overall forecasted demand.
Lead the implementation of supply chain, logistics, inventory management and fulfillment technology systems.
Develop and implement global customs compliance procedures.
Manage global parcel fulfillment operations to ensure customs compliance for timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, and fulfillment, including 3PL coordination, inventory management, global customs, and global parcel fulfillment with a proven leadership track record.
Freight Negotiations experience.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience with building out and leveraging Fulfillment by Amazon.
Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics, fulfillment practices, and e-commerce regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaborative skills.
Proficiency in supply chain management, logistics, warehouse management and fulfillment software, tools and analytics, including AI.

Travel requirements: Required travel to Black Rabbit California, New Jersey and Florida locations, and future locations internally operated fulfillment center in the USA, and occasional travel to 3PL partners across the country.
Work Location: Houston, greater Houston area preferred.
