Wealthsimple is Hiring a Product Manager Near Canada, KY

Your career is an investment that grows over time!

Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 3 million users who trust us with more than $30 billion in assets.

Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.

About the role

As a Product Manager at Wealthsimple, you will play a key role in envisioning, developing and launching the products and features that help our clients with their financial lives. You will partner with design and engineering to understand our clients’ needs, develop prototypes, ship, analyze data, interview clients, and iterate on product features.

Please note that this posting is meant for our team to keep all interested applicants in mind for future PM opportunities!

\n

In this role you will:

  • Oversee the planning, development, and launch of new product experiences that continuously raise the bar on quality, performance, and ambition.
  • Set the product vision and strategy, partnering with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and others.
  • Lead the planning, development, and launch of projects.
  • Break down complex, behind-the-scenes projects into discrete phases that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally.
  • Establish and own a variety of metrics related to performance and client outcomes.
  • Talk directly to customers to uncover problems, identify unmet needs, and validate potential solutions.
  • Help elevate the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and create an inclusive and supportive team culture.
Skills we are looking for:
  • A multi-year track record of building and shipping products that customers love. You’ve owned a complete product or large parts of an offering and are comfortable leading large, complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Curiosity and a thirst for learning. You dig deep into any problem you encounter until you’ve cracked the nut on what’s really important.
  • A shipping mentality. We don't believe in spending forever analyzing and debating. The best way to validate something is to ship it — so let's ship it, learn, and iterate.
  • Enough technical know-how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations that impact a product, and a desire to learn what you don’t know to help drive decision making.
  • Analytical skills to pull your own data, analyze it, and draw meaningful insights from it.
  • Discerning taste for what constitutes a great product experience.
  • Proven ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences.
  • Strong understanding of how design, product and engineering can work together to ship high quality experiences quickly and at scale.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and project direction to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward.
  • A deep interest and passion for personal finance and how we might build simpler, more accessible services for everyone.
