GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of the job position is to assist the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the guest’s evaluation and care plan and as directed by the Administrator and Activity/Event Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the event/activity programs
- Document attendance, and degree of involvement in activities/events and suggest modifications
- Participate in activity evaluations and care plans for residents
- Participate in care plans and discharge conferences
- Orient and train new employees and volunteers
- All other duties & responsibilities as assigned
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Work in a long-term care or post-acute care setting preferred but not required
- Must have computer knowledge; preference for PCC
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Must pass a pre employment physical
