WE Communications is Hiring a Business Development Specialist Near Bellevue, WA

What We Need

WE Communications, one of the world’s largest independent PR and integrated communications companies, is in search of a versatile and highly productive Business Development Specialist. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for working with leadership in our Consumer, Healthcare, and Technology sectors to qualify new business opportunities, as well as manage and support priority RFPs and presentations. You’ll work in partnership with others across the North America region to showcase our ideas, capabilities and people in compelling ways that can move our prospective clients’ business forward.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage incoming new business opportunities including qualifying opportunities against the agency’s criteria.
  • Manage active prospects and projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates to the team and ensuring follow up is taking place along agreed upon timelines.
  • Assists the research team to conduct in-depth, timely, accurate and effective research and analysis.
  • Pull case studies, bios/headshots as needed for new business pursuits and information on WE’s experience for RFPs and capability decks.
  • Coordinate printing and delivery of materials needed for new business pitches and other projects.
  • Update business development collateral to keep most current info available for team.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

What you've been able to accomplish

  • 2 years of experience in communications or adjacent field, preferably in an agency setting. Previous experience in business development a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Proactive communication and ability to follow detailed directions
  • Customer service orientation including ability and willingness to pitch in on all aspects and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
  • Experience working with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Strong self-starter spirit; ability to respond to shifting priorities and work under deadline in a fast-paced environment.

Your Salary: 

The target range of base salary in all locations within the United States for this role is $64,000 - $80,000 per year. Actual salary is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to business needs, level of responsibility, skill set, level of experience, and geographical location.
