Well established Winter Haven- area, family owned and operated, drug-free construction company is seeking a professional estimator/project manager with new construction residential, remodeling residential, commercial and government experience to join our growing team.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for:

Meeting with potential clients on job sites to discuss project expectations. The estimator will in some cases help design and draw out projects for client approval. The estimator will heavily communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability to accurately bid and estimate jobs, as well as establish relationships with potential new subcontractors and suppliers and gather other required information needed for bidding purposes. This person needs to be fully competent in understanding/reading construction documents such as blueprints, AIA documents and other drawings and information needed to properly bid jobs. The estimator will also need to understand the market conditions and be able to anticipate changes in pricing and supply availability and adjust accordingly.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 year’s continuous experience in estimating full construction projects
• Detail oriented
• Knowledge and understanding of construction and government procedures
• Read plans and specifications along with knowledge and understanding of AIA documents
• Must be able to communicate and collaborate well with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and fellow employees
• Must have efficient computer skills
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
