A Brief Overview
Under supervision, the Senior Auditor leads or conducts complex financial, operational, compliance and/or information technology professional internal auditing work in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional practice of Internal Auditing.
The Senior Auditor also provides consulting services to Authority Management and staff, provides input regarding the development of the annual audit plan and may assist with training, coaching and guiding the Internal Audit staff with audits and audit related issues.

What you will do

• Support development of risk-based audit plan through internal discussions following risk interviews and business environment changes, including assessment of new initiatives and associated impact on operations, systems, etc.
• Plan audits, determine scope of review, and required resources. Establish work schedules using effective project management techniques.
• Perform observations and walk-throughs, document examinations, analytical reviews, reconciliations and other procedures sufficient to formulate and express an opinion, render a conclusion, or otherwise meet the objectives of the assignment.
• Identify and define issues and design recommendations to mitigate risk.
• Deliver audit findings to Authority Management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors via written reports and oral presentations.
• Conform to professional audit standards, consider best practices on all audit activities.
• Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. *An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
• 3 or more years of recent, full time auditing experience in either an internal auditing or public accounting environment
• 2 or more years Two years of project management experience
• Proficient with Office Suite Software (Core - Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation)
• Proficient with audit/project management, accounting/finance, data analysis or visualization systems/software
• Certified Internal Auditor or currently appearing for such certification, or
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or currently appearing for such certification
