Fire Sprinkler Helper

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for Fire Sprinkler Helpersin our Raleigh NCbranch to work in the surrounding areas.

Helpers and Fitters work closely with Fire Sprinkler Foreman to perform the following:

• Fire sprinkler systems installation accurately, on schedule, and within budget. 
• Work directly with the Foreman on the jobsite to follow procedures, blueprints and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints and hand tools.
• Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjusts hangers, etc.
• Very importantly, you will ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test system for leaks.
• Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
• Working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

What are the Qualifications for this position?

• Construction experience preferred but not required. 
• Experience using hand tools
• Travel within the local community is required
• Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.
