Job Overview

The Human Resources Business Partnerships Managerwill lead a team of HR professionals and partner with leaders and teams to integrate HR solutions and expertise into business strategies and objectives.
The role is accountable for providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to a team of HR professionals and working with leaders to deliver effective HR solutions and expertise that drive our business strategies. This role supports enterprise-wide initiatives and facilitates the development of culture to enable a productive, diverse and engaged workforce, comprised of the best talent available.

Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by location.

California Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $109,777 - $164,665 annually, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered exempt for purposes of wage-hour law.

Colorado Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $99,797 - $157,180 annually, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered exempt for purposes of wage-hour law.

Nevada Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $104,787 - $157,180 annually, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered exempt for purposes of wage-hour law.

Washington Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $99,797 - $149,695 annually, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered exempt for purposes of wage-hour law.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders to understand, identify and prioritize business requirements to build organizational capabilities and provide business voice and context to HR to ensure that requirements are acted upon effectively and tailored solutions are delivered to solve the business needs.
  • Manage the effective achievement of objectives, goals and performance standards through; setting individual and team goals, attracting and retaining top talent, managing performance, developing and motivating staff.
  • Provide strategic consultation and guidance to the overall process of planning, management and decision making within the HR function.
  • Monitor trends in employment practices and coach business leaders on people matters to enable them to drive performance and results.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations matters to ensure consistent, equitable handling across the organization.
  • Lead the development of HR initiatives that improve business performance through people and coordinate with business leaders to ensure effective implementation of recommendations.
  • Consult with leaders in workforce planning and managing their talent pipeline and succession plan to enable them to take appropriate action via internal or external recruitment and/or developmental trainings to achieve business results and people & culture objectives.
  • In partnership with leaders, identify development opportunities with emphasis on identification of key positions essential for achieving strategic aims and monitor talent attrition to enable business units to have a workforce capable of achieving business goals.
  • Champion and provide leadership to the HR team and leaders on performance management, calibration sessions, succession planning and talent reviews etc. to meet business requirements
  • Review and recommend initiatives for organizational effectiveness including organization structures for respective functions, performance effectiveness etc. to facilitate their implementation and ensure alignment with the strategy, best practices, businesses needs and regulatory obligations
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in an organized and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related equivalent and/or PHR/CPHR preferred.
  • 7 years of relevant and progressive experience in HR or related function. Experience leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Solid understanding of the business, HR technical knowledge. Experience in the insurance industry a plus.
  • Continuous learner with significant knowledge of HR policies, people processes, talent management practices and federal, state and local employment law. Strong comprehension of California’s labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience building exceptional partnerships and working strategically with senior business leaders to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, our customers and how these link to Talent & HR strategy.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions and integrations preferred.
  • Strategic capability and the ability to identify resources and skills that create a long-term competitive advantage for an organization.
  • Visionary leader with demonstrated capability to help others see how they can contribute an overall shared vision.
  • Consultative style and trusted leader who can effectively influence, coach and consult with leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate courage by expressing diverse professional opinions, delivering candid feedback and making decisions.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively deliver presentations, facilitation and coaching/training.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a changing, fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to drive for results.
  • Trusted advisor who can effectively influence, coach and consult with senior leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to10-20 percent of the time.
