Wausau Supply Co. distributes building materials from the industrys leading manufacturers to authorized retailers from the Great Lakes to the western Rocky Mountains. Our territory continues to expand as we continuously strive to meet the demands of our customers with eighteen distribution centers and five fabrication and finishing facilities.

Summary: Wausau Supply Company Shift Supervisor is responsible for finishing tasks for the entire production process and ensuring efficiency throughout the lines. It is the responsibility of the Shift Supervisor to be aware of all production goals, quality control and establishing high standards of workmanship. To be an effective Shift Supervisor, the applicant must be fluent with communication, and it is imperative that positive relations with all internal levels of the organization remain uncompromised.

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

• Serve as a resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice.
• Facilitates team effort and supportive attitudes between employees across all shifts and departments.
• Use working knowledge of manufacturing to maximize efficiency.
• Train and assist others in all Diamond Kote manufacturing machines, systems, and processes. Requires gaining functional expertise in all aspects of plant operation.
• Perform operator functions as needed.
• Perform material handling functions as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment when applicable.
• Identify product that does not meet quality standards and correct.
• Be a leader in all aspects of safety, including all safety guidelines, reporting practices, and processes.
• Use computer software and ERP systems to perform job tracking functions and inventory functions.

Production Supervisor Demonstrates:

• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
• Ability to analyze innovative solutions to eliminate obstacles and solve problems.
• Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining solid communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership skills that portray excellent teamwork.

Education / Experience:

• High school diploma.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50-75 pounds.
• Work schedule is Monday - Thursday 5:00PM 5:15AM.
