General Summary:

Provides on-going training to employees of Buffing and Assembly. This may include the initial training, in addition to on-going training and mentoring of the employee, until the employee has completed their training period and has been assessed to work on their own safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train employees in Buff and Assembly on job tasks assigned to them.
• This may include one or all processes within Buff & Assembly, including Buffing, Assembling, Final Inspecting, Decaling and Packaging Material safely.
• Inspect every part the employee in training wants to be a re-work.
• Determine if the part should be a re-work and if not, provide further training on how the employee should continue to work the part to meet quality standards.
• Mentor employees with patience and respect.
• Responsible for informing employees on department goals for each assigned task (Pitch or expected hourly rate per position), and helping them reach those goals through on-going training.
• Provide on-going feedback to Production Supervisor on the employee’s performance.
• Perform job functions of Buffer, Assembler, Final Inspector and Decaler.

Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of production operations and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of all buffing, assembling, final inspecting, decaling and quality inspection of all product lines preferred.
• Must have good attention to detail in order to visually identify minute imperfections or defects.
• Excellent oral and communication skills to mentor employees.
• Ability to work as a team and individually.
• Self-motivated and able to provide hands on approach.
• Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new process developments.
