Crystal Finishing Systems Inc is Hiring a Lead Production High Performance 1st Shift Near Schofield, WI

General Summary:

Provides front line oversight,including but not limited to: scheduling work, overseeing quality and safety processesunder the direction of the Production Supervisor. Maintain on time complete production schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to direct workflow to ensure daily production demands are met. Reporting any deviation to the Production Supervisor as soon as deviation is discovered.
  • Communicates with employees in work unit to ensure customer specifications are understood and quality products are produce based on company standard.
  • Participate in daily activities with staff in work unit to meet department goals. Responsible to participate in any work activity in assigned area as needed.
  • Addresses any quality concerns with theProduction Supervisorin a timely manner.
  • Responds to employee questions including simple policy interpretation, concerns, or other questions. Refers any complex questions or answers that require the use of discretion to theProduction Supervisor.
  • Consult with Production Supervisor and other Leads about schedule priorities for the shift.
  • Works as a Production Support when other Lead responsibilities are completed or not required.
  • Can locate, read, comprehend and execute proper work instructions.
  • Is supportive of employee and company objectives while maintaining an objective viewpoint at all times.
  • Adjust leadership techniques to individual employees to ensure the most effective working relationships and work environment.
  • Provides thorough training to all new employees to the designated work unit. May delegate some training functions to other experienced employees.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all employees in the department.
  • Shows consistency in treatment of all employees at all times.
  • Shows appreciation to co-workers by recognizing their work and provides recommendation for rewards to theProduction Supervisor.
  • Works with other Leads in an effective, team-oriented manner.
  • Represents Crystal Finishing Systems in a positive manner at all times.
  • Ensures communication link between employees and supervisor/manager.
  • Provides recommendations to Production Supervisor in the areas of policy development, process changes, quality improvements, cost reductions, etc. to ensure the most effective working environment possible. Actively participates in continuous ongoing process improvement.
  • Provides feedback on employee performance and participates in the review process involving employees in the assigned work unit.
  • Participates in company tours for customers as requested.
  • Motivates employees in a positive manner within work unit to accomplish tasks to meet department goals.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Follows all company policies including maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary business and employee information.
  • Operates small hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ensures work areas are accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic by maintaining a clean work area at all times.
  • Efficiently uses materials and other supplies and notifies the correct person when supplies run low.
  • Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment and enforces PPE requirements for all team members.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred. Ability to lead a team environment a must.
  • Previous painting experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of production and quality processes required.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. High levels of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and/or conflicting situations.
