Description
Do you have a strong ability to prioritize and multi-task? Are you meticulous about details and have excellent organizational skills? Have experience and proficiency with Excel and spreadsheets? Knowledgeable about accounting principles and concepts? Our Accounting team is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist.
This position is responsible for all facets of accounts payable system such as receiving, verifying, reconciling, scanning, and entering invoices for approval and payment. Collaborating and charging expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers. Prepares reports as necessary in relation to accounts payable.
Requirements
- Ability to apply bookkeeping and accounting concepts to the maintenance of Accounts Payable and Financial records
- Verify approval on all invoices and expense check request
- Ensure all invoices are coded correctly
- Update and maintain vendor database
- Ability to enter, scan and process 125 invoices per week
- Reconciles vendor statements
- Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
- 1099 preparation
- Make involved and varied arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately
- Compile necessary reports from within the Accounts Payable software
- Handles confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
- Performs General Ledger maintenance, including preparation of live journal entries
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and other staff across the entire Crews Banking organization
Education and Experience:
- Two-year degree in accounting and finance, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum three years of accounting experience
- 2 years of general banking experience
- AIB Principles of Banking or similar college equivalent
