Waters | Wyatt Technology is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Waters | Wyatt Technology team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Santa Barbara, California location. This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commense in the spring/summer of 2024.

Responsibilities

As a Marketing Intern you will be exposed to and help with various tasks such as scientific content and market analysis, you will play a key role in supporting our marketing efforts and gaining insights into the scientific instrument industry. In addition to assisting with various marketing tasks, you will have the opportunity to conduct research and quantify the market size of the industry, providing valuable information to guide our strategic decision-making.

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Conduct market research to identify key trends, competitors, and opportunities in the scientific instrument industry
  •  Quantify the market size and potential growth opportunities for our products and services
  • Analyze data and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business goals
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and website content
  • Stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies relevant to our products and target markets

Qualifications specific to this role:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in engineering, chemistry or biochemistry. Formal education or training in marketing, business or economics is a plus.
  • Candidates with a background or interest in marketing, business, economics will also be considered if they have exposure to and a passion for science
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research techniques and tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise and compelling insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for science and technology, with an interest in the scientific instrument industry

The pay rate for this internship is $21-$25 per hour.
