Water Lily Learning Center is Hiring an Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant Part Time Near Cincinnati, OH

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong commitment to supporting their growth and development. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a safe and engaging learning environment and provide high-quality care for young children.

Our Teachers:

  • Create positive, fun, and interactive learning experiences in clean and age-appropriate classrooms.
  • Support our success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We are most interested in adding to our team Early Childhood Professionals who bring their A-game to the table and have a passion for nurturing young minds and who have:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Implement The Creative Curriculum in a manner that supports the intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development of each child enrolled in his or her classroom, which includes individualization and the Ohio Early Learning Standards.
  • Support the lead teacher to manage a classroom of children, including a daily schedule that encourages a child's learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity, and a healthy self-concept that leads to school readiness.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and needs.
  • Support the lead teacher with capturing observation information and assessment information to assist with the implementation of lesson plans to advance a child's development.
  • Help to ensure compliance with all licensing and accreditation standards, including Early Head Start, Step Up to Quality, ODJFS, CACFP, and Water Lily.
  • Utilize best practices and positive discipline techniques with children to support children's growth and understanding of self and others and promote resilience.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Complete tasks assigned in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Responsible for obtaining required training hours and maintaining educational credentials.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements, including background checks and immunization records.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Must be able to obtain Associate Degree in ECE/Child DevelopmentĀ a CDA, or a Career Pathways Level 3 certification within 6 months.
