Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. seeks apart time Preschool Assistant Teacher who is responsible for assisting the Preschool Head Teacher in providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program using best practices during the school year preschool program. They will need to adapt easily to changing situations. They must be a person who enjoys working with young children and diverse groups of people. Preschool Assistant Teacher should be willing to assist Head Teacher in classroom management, preparation, parent communication, and lesson planning and implementation.
This is a Part Time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Seasonal position- End of August to End of May –. Hours: Monday- Friday between 10:00am-1:00pm (15 hrs./week) This position follows the school year and is a 9-month position.
What you will do!
- Maintain a safe, clean, learning environment and assure the well-being and safety of children in their care.
- Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with preschool teachers, volunteers, parents, and program specialists in implementing classroom activities.
- Help maintain discipline and supervision of children during all Pavilion Preschool activities.
- Help facilitate lunch.
- Help facilitate bathroom breaks.
- Prepare snacks daily and lead daily cleaning efforts.
- Assist with set up and clean-up of lunch each day.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
