BASIC FUNCTIONUnder the direction and supervision of the Preschool Site Supervisor, the Preschool Teacher promotes learning by providing meaningful instruction and recreational activities for preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher provides education, care, and supervision in classrooms and playgrounds. This position employs a range of instructional techniques and strategies to enhance student progress by establishing and maintaining a productive classroom environment. The Preschool Teacher assists in the development and implementation of the program curriculum.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Persons performing service in this position classification will be expected to perform Medium work, which involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.
