Because of continued growth WALCO Tool and Engineering is looking for an experienced CNC Electrical Maintenance and Repair Technician for our CNC and Manual Machining Equipment to join our team in Romeoville, IL.
About the Electrical Maintenance and Repair Technician Position:
The CNC Electrical Maintenance & Repair Technician will perform maintenance and repair of CNC machining centers. This includes troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and electronic components. Typically this would be electric motors, ball screws, spindle heads, gearboxes, hydraulic components (pumps, cylinders, motors, hoses, etc), pneumatic components, process control units, and feedback devices. The technician will have to be able to disconnect the machining center's electrical and hydraulic power sources, troubleshoot the problem, and make the necessary repairs. Also, typical preventative maintenance on CNC machining centers (lubricating, swapping bearings, etc).
Electrical Maintenance and Repair Technician Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Technician should have the ability to express basic electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in the electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience in PLC, CNC and test equipment repair procedures is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, logical thinking, troubleshooting and team player
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• Commitment to continuous improvement through self-education and company sponsored training
•Technician must be able to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40lbs.
