Position Description:
The R&D Scientist helps improve current products by collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and summarizing data, address manufacturing issues, evaluate new technologies and/or ingredients and seek cost savings. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Address manufacturing issues, evaluate new technologies and/or ingredients and seek cost savings.
· Help improve current products by collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and summarizing data.
· Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) is required.
· Keeps records of laboratory work and observations.
· Uses a variety of software tools and programs to input, retrieve and analyze data as needed.
· Assists with creating new raw material specifications, change controls, deviations, or other required documentation in support of manufacturing existing in-line products.
· Cleans and maintains lab equipment and rooms.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or relevant field
· A minimum of 2 years' experience in R&D Formulation/ new product development
· Experience working with formulation software
· Working knowledge and practical experience with raw materials
· Be familiar with manufacturing machinery equipment
· Strong analytical and research skills
· Summarizing manufacturing Data
· Analysis & Report - Writing skills
· Strong negotiation skills
· Strong experience of Microsoft Excel
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
· Strong willingness to learn and grow
