Summary:

General responsibility for the installation, 24/7, day-to-day operation, maintenance, and modification of all site systems. This position is also responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, corrective (repair/unplanned/modification) and preventative (planned) maintenance of associated systems and equipment. The technician must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Considerable independent judgment and initiative is required to solve challenging or complex issues. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of architectural systems, structural/civil systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, process equipment and utility equipment training on and following approved procedures where applicable.
• Troubleshoot and repair facilities, equipment, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic circuits (motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, and purified and domestic water systems) using manuals, SOPs, specifications, and other workplace aids.
• Provide recommendations and assist with implementation of methods, procedures and techniques for improving maintenance of existing/new systems as well as assisting with system failure root cause investigations.
• Prepare documents to include maintenance, quality, and other documents/reports as deemed appropriate following good documentation practices potentially inclusive of deviations, corrective actions preventative actions (CAPA), change controls, and SOP revisions.
• Monitor the work of others to include contracted suppliers and service providers.

Youll need the following (minimum qualifications):

• Must have working (hands on) knowledge of the following:
• Electrical Schematics (read and write)
• Power circuits up to 480 VAC 3 phase
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery
• Prior experience with general utility systems, boilers, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• PLC, HMI and VFD controls experience.
• Utilize LEAN tools such as Standardized Work, 5S, Visual Management as well as leading Kaizen projects and documenting results to support continuous improvement projects
• Identify and establish machine spares for equipment as needed
• Continuously work to improve the level of housekeeping and implement 5S through-out the facility
• Perform any other duties as specified by the Maintenance & CI Manager
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferably including hands-on or vocational school training, and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, or A.S./A.A. Degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology, or Licensed Journeyman, with a minimum of five (5) years of work experience.
• Must be willing to work altered shift schedules/overtime as needed to support the business
• Daily and Weekend Overtime may be required to complete duties of the position
• May lead mechanics and contractors during work in the plant
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly range for this position is $24.00 to $30.00. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
