Voorhees Pediatric Facility is Hiring a Payroll Coordinator/Specialist Near Voorhees, NJ

We are seeking a full-time Payroll Coordinator/Specialist to join our highly skilled Human Resources team! This position will have an in-office setting in Voorhees, NJ.

Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) has grown into a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center that offers 119 in-patient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country. VPF continues to be recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, and in 2013 VPF received the highest accreditation awarded by The Joint Commission. As a valuable member of our HR team, you will be responsible for:

  • Full payroll administration including but not limited to reviewing for accuracy and importing/manually entering employee time sheets into the ADP WorkForce Now payroll system & Smartlinx
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes payroll checks and pay stubs
  • Communications with the Human Resources Department to ensure accuracy and integrity of the payroll data including new hires, terminations, changes, and assist with any updates/corrections, as necessary
  • Orientation of newly hired staff &/or existing employees with changes on payroll including but not limited to direct deposit and federal and state taxes
  • Department and Facility Reporting including the Union reporting
  • Continuous evaluation of all payroll processes and procedures to always seek improvement
  • Employment verifications including State of NJ verifications, when needed
  • Assessment and evaluation of federal and state trends relating to payroll functions such as tax changes
  • Researches and resolves manager and/or employee questions as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as paid time off, direct deposit, garnishments, employment verifications, tax questions, and other payroll related questions
  • Supports the Human Resources Department with Benefit Administration
  • Reconciliation of Union and Non-Union carrier credit and changes when needed with the support of the insurance brokers
  • Support the Human Resources Department in any specific projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
  • Support Lead Payroll Coordinator when absent
  • Lead various payroll projects as directed
  • Collaborate with division payroll coordinators with documented payroll workflows and suggest improvements for efficiencies
  • Keep up to date with important internal communications and updates with division payroll coordinators to ensure consistency as directed
  • Maintain and evaluate ACA reporting with Employee Benefits Coordinator
  • Submit and maintain Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) Reporting

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant payroll experience required
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now / Smartlinx preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Products
  • Generalist experience relating to labor/human resources functions preferred
