Job Description

Job Title: Contract Manager (Submission cutoff 5/7/24)

Pay: $58,000 – $60,000

Reports to: Executive Director

Hours: 40 hours

Volusia Recovery Alliance (VRA) Contract Manager (CM)

Position Reports To: The Volusia Recovery Alliance Executive Director

Job Overview: The Contract Manager provides leadership and oversight for all current and future VRA grants and contracts to achieve its mission and vision. The CM is responsible for assigned contract staff, fiscal, and administrative management of all grants and contracts. The CM ensures adherence to grant and fundraising policies and works to preserve community partner relationships.

Responsibilities and Duties:

a. Oversees all activities related to contracts.

b. Manages high-performing teams within an equity-focused culture and coaches and

supports high-performing teams.

c. Create Policy and Procedures per the deliverables in the contracts.

d. Assign Staff to the various grants with clear deliverables monthly.

e. Allocates resources strategically and effectively, developing and managing budgets

while balancing organization-wide interests and priorities against the day-to-day

needs of their team.

f. Leads all internal and external audits from funders.

g. Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and

peers.

h. Look for opportunities to pull down additional funding that aligns with our mission

statement.

i. Manages relationships with community partners and vendors.

j. Informs the Board of Directors regularly of internal organization matters, including

relevant staffing, funding, and program success and priorities.

k. Negotiates contracts with the grantors to confirm VRA aligns with one another and that

the budget covers the expenses to implement the contract.

l. Work with the Finance team and Executive Committee to keep them informed about

compliance of contracts and are within budget.

m. Work with Operations Manager to create reporting for Monthly Board Meetings.

n. Helps to oversee the development and execution of budgeting, reporting, planning,

and audits.

o. Works closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to determine the

values and mission of the organization.

p. Participates in strategic planning and oversees the execution of short and long-term

goals of Volusia Recovery Alliance.

q. Ensures that all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitors compliance

with laws and regulations within the nonprofit industry.

r. Oversees, edits, and approves written grants before submission and participates in the

grant-writing process.

s. Performing tasks delegated by Employee’s immediate supervisor, the Executive

Director.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree preferred.

· Extensive experience in contract management, grant research, grant writing and fundraising

· Certification: Florida Contract Management Certification preferred

· Skill and comfort in public speaking and community partner engagement.

· Non-Profit management experience, including program, staff, and volunteer management preferred.

· Lived Experience: A person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder with two years minimum sustained recovery.

· Work/Volunteer Experience in the role of a Peer Specialist preferred

· Certification: Certification as a Recovery Peer Specialist or Recovery Support Specialist through the Florida Certification Board preferred.

· Able to pass a level 2 background check and drug screening.

Working Environment and Conditions

· Job requires sitting, standing, typing, and driving.
