About the job:
The Maintenance Tech I assumes responsibility for the overall maintenance of the property. Responsible for preventive maintenance, painting and repairs inside and outside the property to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, use enjoyment protection of residents, staff and visitors.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of state building, plumbing and electrical codes and ordinances.
Knowledge of basic machinery and tools.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to read, and write in English.
Ability to work within federal and state regulations, Volunteers of America facility policies and procedures.
Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for task suck as timekeeping and documentation.
