A Peer Support Specialist leverages and models their individual lived experience of recovery from incarceration, addiction and/or mental health concerns, along with skills in resiliency and training, to deliver supportive services at Brandon Courtyard residents. Engage and promote a wholistic mind-body approach to recovery and empowerment among program participants. This role requires knowledge of homelessness, and incarceration, skills with support and advocacy, and provides a connection to resources and treatment. Peer navigation relationship to help stabilize in PSH which embodies a positive spirit of recovery and resilience grounded in hope and optimism. Trauma informed practices, person centered methods and facilitates program participant change through goal setting and tracking, education, and skills building. Assist with transportation and health care appointments. Liaison with case managers and supportive, pro social activities (treatment)

Requirements:
Must have maintained recovery from individually identified conditions(s) for a period of at least two years, homelessness and been stable at least 2 years. Conflict resolution, professional boundaries, ability to deal and listen to high traumatic stories. Understanding The Four Agreements, computer skills, Microsoft skills, required training, working with variety of backgrounds, Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
Position Type Part time: M-F 12-4pm with some Saturdays required
Position Salary Range: $21.00 - $23.05
