Volunteer Behavioral Health is now seeking Crisis Intervention Specialists in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.
Crisis Intervention Specialists provide mobile crisis assessment, counseling, linkage and other services to persons in a mental health crisis to include alcohol and/or drug abuse problems.
The schedule for this position is either:
Sunday-Wednesday 12pm-10pm
or
Wednesday-Saturday 12pm-10pm
What You’ll Do
1. Work face-to-face with consumers in assisting them in the resolution of their crisis and providing intervention and referrals in the least restrictive environment.
2. Knowledge of computer skills to be able to search and enter data in the Electronic Record system.
3. Respond when dispatched or to clients presenting to a Walk in Center, complete evaluations and data entry in an efficient manner to meet standards when possible.
4. Complete all data entry according to quality management standards and procedures.
5. Provide follow up phone calls within 24 hours to make sure follow-up instructions are understood or referrals were accepted.
6. Participate in staff meetings, training and supervisory sessions as required.
