Role Overview: You will be responsible for proper and timely completion of all probiotic blends, accurately weighing out raw materials, blends, packaging, labeling, and maintaining inventory.
Responsibilities
- Locate and pull proper product for blends and verifying codes
- Weigh out bulk ingredients used for different blend products with accuracy
- Practice proper blending techniques which include performing a hand blend or a barrel blend
- Practice appropriate packaging technique including distinguishing boxes or pouches for orders
- Maintain proper care, clean up, and sanitation of the blend room
- Assist in bulk product freezer organization as needed
- Maintain equipment such as balances, barrel blenders, etc.
- Clean, autoclave, and properly store utensils
- Troubleshoot the equipment as required
- Adhere to safety protocols related to daily tasks, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ensure all checks, tasks, calibrations are documented accurately on the appropriate records
- Cleaning/sanitizing of all work areas as prescribed by the Master Sanitation schedule
- Maintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) systems and report any concerns to Management
- Assist other departments as directed by Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to respond with a high sense of urgency
- Excellent time management and flexibility
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Able to work in a cold environment.
Expected Scheduling: Weekdays, 6am to 2:30pm
