Immediate Job Opening: Full-Time Patient Services Specialist for Specialized Pediatric Optometry Practice

Join our team as a patient services specialist in a unique and fulfilling specialty optometry practice dedicated to pediatric care. Our mission involves working with children, many of whom have special needs, to address vision-based learning challenges. At our center, we provide vital support for both children and adults in visual development and rehabilitation.

We are seeking a vibrant, compassionate individual with a genuine desire to help others, coupled with strong learning agility, self-motivation, organization, and effective communication skills. Working hours for this position are from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Fridays.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in various computer software such as Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and Outlook
  • Comfortable with administrative tools including multi-line telephones, fax machines, and copy machines
  • Possess an excellent telephone demeanor
  • Strong multitasking abilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Educating patients and parents about our programs
  • Managing appointment scheduling
  • Responding to phone inquiries
  • Collaborating effectively within a team to ensure smooth office operations

Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Administrative experience in education or medical settings is preferred
  • Previous exposure to school environments, high-traffic learning centers, daycares, or medical offices is advantageous
  • Ability to foster open communication with both parents and colleagues by actively listening
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly on the telephone
  • Willingness to expand job responsibilities, propose enhancements, and collaborate with colleagues to refine processes and foster innovation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,000.00 - $33,000.00 per year
