Virginia Retina Specialists is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Falls, VA

Welcome to a great working environment with excellent benefits! We have an immediate opening for an experienced Prior Authorization Insurance Specialist/Medical Biller. We are looking for a friendly, experienced, and responsible individual for our medical billing position. The applicant should have a can-do attitude, work well under pressure, multitask, and be a team player. Salary commensurate on experience.

One year of experience is required in Medical billing and collections, preferably in Ophthalmology.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

-Posting insurance payments

-Verifying medical insurance benefits

- Obtaining prior authorizations

- Filing claims and claims follow-up.

-Verify codes and enter all patient visits, tests, etc

-Ensure accuracy of all patient information in the billing system

- Work on insurance claims and denials in a timely fashion

-Ensure compliance with all billing requirements rules and regulations

-Follow up on claims to ensure timely payment and collections.

-Efficient submissions of all electronic claims and assist patients with questions on account issues.

-Multitask between phone/electronic medical records.

Job Requirements:

  • Prefer 1 years of experience in a medical front office,
  • Excellent patient communication skills required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Word and Excel. EMR experience a plus.

- Nextech experience a plus

-Must have a clear knowledge of insurance and billing guidelines

• Candidate must have a professional demeanor, be energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
