Responsibilities:

• Greet and register patients
• Verify insurance coverage and gather documents for authorizations
• Direct patients throughout drive thru lanes and guide patients to the inside of the Urgent Care
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Collect specimens and perform point of care testing
• Collect, label and prepare laboratory specimens
• Schedule appointments and tests for patients
• Explain treatment procedures to patients
• Perform basic radiology procedures
• Accurately document patient medical information in the EHR
• Take and document vital signs
• Perform X-rays
• Perform blood draws
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKG)
• Stock medical supplies and equipment
• Maintain inventory logs of supplies
• Complete room transition procedures between patients
• Maintain organization and general cleanliness of the facility, facility equipment and medical supplies
• Assist medical Providers with procedures and medical treatment plan
• Answer phone calls
• Medication distribution and injections as directed by medical provider
