Violet Crown Costume Company is Hiring an Office Manager Near Bastrop, TX

Violet Crown Costume Company in Bastrop, Texas is seeking an Office Manager

General Statement of Job Function: The Office Manager oversees the day to day operations of Violet Crown Costume Company. The manager will supervise the facility's order fulfillment and inventory management activities, ensuring quality standards and customer service are met at every turn.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative tasks including online and in person order fulfillment and invoicing.
  • Monitor emails and phone calls and interface with clients when necessary.
  • Supervise all sales, rentals and maintenance of inventory.
  • Assist clients with selection, paperwork, pickup, shipping and return processing of all outside rentals.
  • Assist in cataloging the collection.
  • Oversee part-time employees, including submitting payroll hours.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in office administration.
  • Experience using Google Workspace suite.
  • Flexibility working with differing client paperwork and accounting procedures.
  • Interest in costumes and learning new skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be detail-oriented and self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Problem solver - the ability to pivot but stay on task.
  • Physical capability to climb stairs and lift at least 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Basic hand-sewing skills/ ability to do minor repairs.
  • Working knowledge of period clothing, costumes, and fashion
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
  • Occasional availability nights, weekends, and the occasional Holiday.

On the Job Training:

  • Working knowledge of costume periods, sizing, maintenance, storage and inventory of the collection.
  • Operation of Shopify platform
