Vinson Fine Furniture is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Columbus, OH

At Vinson Fine Furniture we are looking for the right person to lead our sales team. Furniture-specific experience is not required, we have a full training program.
Earning potential ranges from $70,000 – $80,000/year.

Summary: This position is primarily responsible for managing sales activities of home furnishings by performing the following duties.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

-Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

-Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

-Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

-Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist team members in promoting sales.

-Delivers presentations to sales team in coordination with store manager.

-Coordinates liaison between sales department and other departments.

-Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals.

-Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed improvements.

-Directs product research and development.

-Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Directly supervises sales employees in the Sales Department.

-Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

-Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two of years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of team members, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; some Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
