Position Overview:

The Cost Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for recording and reporting measurements related to the cost calculations, both aggregate and in detail, for all products produced by Villari Brothers and The Pork Company. Additionally, the Cost Accounting Manager prepares financial analyses related to cost of goods in routine and ad hoc. 

Specific Duties:

• Maintain packaging, production, and development costs of all products
• Coordinate with production team to remain current on product or process changes and maintain accurate cost related data
• Provide timely cost analysis and setup for new products
• Calculate and allocate overhead
• Coordinate with purchase department to ensure incoming product is received at correct cost
• Assist with data gathering related to ERP
• Act as the gatekeeper for Carlisle Measurement Systems
• Provide Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as requested by business stakeholders
• Work directly with accounting team to provide reporting required for month-end profit & loss accounting.
• Other projects assigned by Villari leadership team

Essential Job Functions

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to multi-task and prioritize requests in alignment with leadership needs. 

Education and/or Experience :

Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing/food production environment is preferred.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

Must be able to conduct advanced calculations and functions within Excel including, but not limited to, building Pivot Tables, preparing data for VLookup analysis, and advanced formula creation and data manipulation.

Experience with ERP Systems Desirable

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from personnel inside the company.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited direction exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or other form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize workload, excellent internal customer service skills.
