Salary: Based on Experience

In Villari Foods, the Maintenance Supervisor will perform complex supervisory duties which will monitor department performance on a daily basis. Direct all maintenance associates. Maintain a safe environment and oversee departments and staff; maintain surveillance over manufacturing process for the purpose of reducing and controlling costs to facilitate production at maximum efficiency and safety at minimum cost.

Specific Duties:

  •  Direct training of associates in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair machinery and equipment.
  •  Assist associates in diagnosing malfunctions in machine and equipment. Direct associates in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery during plant repair, modification and/or expansion.
  • Interpret company policies to associates and enforce safety regulation.
  •  Assist in providing training programs for department associates on specific equipment.
  • Analyze, resolve, repair, and construct and/or equipment modification problems or assist associates in solving related problem.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to associates. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet project and production schedules.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Responsible for plant electrical issues.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by plant management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to remain calm & focused in a faced paced environment
  • Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Education and/or Experience :

  • 2 years or higher in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Electrical experience is a plus or vocation training at an accredited school
  • Dual Skilled.
  • Plummer, refrigeration, and mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing/Food processing experience.
  • Experience in General industrial.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited direction exists.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. Ability to keep track of and report on activity. Experience in planning maintenance operations. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent management skills. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.

The employee is regularly required to sit or stand, reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
