About the Role

The Executive Director for Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Compliance is a key leadership role focused on creating and maintaining an inclusive and equitable campus environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies and programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and compliance throughout the institution. This includes leading the Diversity Committee, establishing and monitoring institutional DEI goals, and serving as the College's Compliance Coordinator for various regulations such as Title VI, VII, IX, and ADA/504. The role also involves fostering a culture of respect and intercultural learning, overseeing educational and professional development opportunities in DEI, and partnering with academic and administrative departments to enhance equity and inclusion.Candidates for this position must have a Master's degree (a doctorate is preferred) and a minimum of five to seven years of experience with a proven track record in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Extensive knowledge and experience with compliance matters related to DEI are essential, as is experience in leading organizational change and community engagement, particularly in a higher education or similar complex organizational setting. The ideal candidate will possess high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills to effectively navigate difficult dialogues and engage with various stakeholders. The role requires a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community and the ability to manage the demands of the position, which include typical office duties and active engagement across the campus.
