VieMed Healthcare is Hiring a Patient Relations Intern Near Lafayette, LA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls from patients and customers to address inquiries and route to the appropriate person
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, comments, and escalate complaints as necessary
- Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding patient interactions, data privacy, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with the Patient Relations team to troubleshoot problems and escalate issues as necessary to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and patience in all interactions with customers, maintaining a positive and customer focused attitude.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to listen actively, empathize with customers and build rapport
- Basic computer skill and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Smartsheet forms
- Ability to work as part of a team
