Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Senior Research Engineer to join our team in Waltham, MA. Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

Responsibilities:

• Ideate, Design, Simulate, and Solve complex problems in the surgical robotics space
• Understand, analyze, and develop new potential products/product lines to supplement/expand existing Vicarious Robotic Systems
• Responsible for developing quick functional code across embedded platforms
• Develop C code using CUDA for image manipulation
• Develop calibration tools/processes for our testing new advanced camera functions

About You

• Minimum of a B.S. in an engineering discipline
• Python and C/C programming experience
• Wide knowledge of robotic sensors and application experience
• Hands-on electromechanical system design experience
• 2 years of industry experience or MS/PH.D
• Experience developing software for advanced robotic systems
• Camera sensor software development experience
• Cuda video processing experience
• In depth knowledge of camera sensor calibrations
