Roles and Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer in Quality Assurance, you will be required to develop and execute end-to-end automation, create and execute test plans & test cases for frameworks and SDKs targeting mobile (iOS, Android, Windows), desktop (PC, Mac) and web apps (Safari, Chrome).
We are looking for a Software Engineer with an enduring passion for continuous delivery SDLC culture and building functional test infrastructure.
The successful candidate has a strong Software Development background mixed with Quality Engineering skills, and a desire to help others get the most out of the systems they use.
The candidate will have influential and mentoring role to help our internal stakeholder/R&D teams with mobile and web application automation tools and processes that help accelerate customer application delivery.
The focus of this position will be supporting and building the product team's test automation capability. You will be building RESTful services and web applications to raise visibility into quality practices across the company.
To perform this position you will need to be a strong coder with excellent communication skills.
Overview:
-Support complex coding requests from product teams
-Research, evaluate and find opportunities for improvement through new technology/process adoption
-Build strong, collaborative relationships within product teams to drive higher capabilities
-Support CI/CD build promotion processes in order to identify and support agile test practices
-Identify gaps in product team capabilities, create plans to support team growth
-Resolve product team issues such as test build problems, complex
Desired Skills and Experience:
-Experience defining and executing test plans & test cases and reporting results.
-Experience writing automation scripts using Karma, Protractor for AngularJS apps or modern Single-Page-Applications.
-Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
-Experience testing hybrid/native Android and iOS mobile apps
-Experience testing web applications (.Net, Java, AngularJS, Node.js)
-Experience testing web services (SOAP, REST APIs).
-Experience testing with headless Webkit frameworks like PhantomJS.
-Experience writing automated tests for web and/or mobile devices (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Android SDK, Xcode, etc.)
-Experience with development tools such as Eclipse and Xcode (Specifically, testing with Emulators embedded in these IDEs)
-Strong knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows
-Strong commitment to improving software quality and resourceful testing mentality.
-Ability to write clear and concise bug tickets using defect/ticket tracking systems (JIRA)
Desired
-Experience developing test automation against RESTful APIs, preferably with native HTTP clients
-Experience with SaaS scalable technologies
-Experience testing with NoSQL databases
-Experience implementing tests early in development using test fixtures, mocks or stubbing
-Experience writing and running Java-based test cases with Selenium Webdriver
-Experience developing tests in Ruby stack with Capybara, Cucumber, RSpec
-Experience with CD/CI tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Puppet or Chef
