Due to major growth we are expanding our Engineering team in Sydney and currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team.

In terms of our tech stack, we're hosted on AWS containerised in Docker. In the containers, we run our servers on Node.js connecting to PostgreSQL databases. Our clients are built with TypeScript, Pixi.js and use as few dependencies as possible.

What you will bring to the role:

• You have experience working with client-side development technologies and frameworks, including tools like TypeScript or JavaScript.
• While not mandatory, having prior experience with PixiJS, Three.js, GSAP, or another animation library is an advantage.Experience especially in the context of interactive visual applications, 2D game development, or animations, is highly desirable.
• An ability to work with stakeholders prototyping and collaborating on new products and designs in an iterative fashion.
• Robust coding practices including writing clean well-structured code, automated tests, and managing source control.
• Strive to improve the code base. Deep understanding of why design and architectural decisions are made.
• Ensuring product features are being delivered effectively as measured by lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, mean time to resolution and number of bugs in production.
• Experience implementing and using event-driven architectures.
• Cloud development (we are hosted on AWS).
• Containerisation (Docker and/or Kubernetes would be great).
• Strong fundamental knowledge of OO and Functional programming paradigms
• Lead meetings, clearly communicate technical approach, status, assess and mitigate risk.
• A collaborative approach to software engineering.
• Empathy and the willingness to coach and mentor team members.
