Vero Networks is Hiring an OSP Construction Manager Near Sacramento, CA
This position is responsible for field management (schedule and budget) for multiple fiber network construction projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience building out fiber networks at scale, ideally including fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. Includes field oversight of OSP construction firms, and rapid resolution of roadblocks. Reports to Project Manager.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage OSP engineering and construction vendors at a tactical project level, including determination of aerial vs. UG approach at segment level, and approval of handhole and drop locations.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure quality assurance on specific projects as assigned.
- Ensure vendor compliance with OSP engineering & construction standards.
- Facilitate project progress with materials and labor/expertise when warranted.
- Manage emergency maintenance activities.
- Proven working experience in outside plant construction management.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Ability to communicate effectively with our customers and employees.
- Excellent time and project management skills, strong communications, and vendor management skills.
- Strong background in Microsoft Office365 (especially Excel), Google Maps, and Google Earth.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience constructing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks.
- GIS Mapping and data manipulation experience preferred (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.)
- Salary range between, $70k - $80k DOE with a potential 5% bonus
- 3 medical plans to choose from.
