POSITION DESCRIPTION
Customer Service
POSITION PROFILE
· Greet customers, answer phones, assist customers for sales on showroom floor. Transition customers to a salesperson for large equipment.
Order parts, and supplies for industrial, agricultural, heavy equipment and other related machinery.
Ensure effective time management practices, pays attention to detail, and maintains a safe and clean environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Motivated, Self-Starter.
Knowledge in Quick-Books, Photo editing, Microsoft Office, and Online sales, In-store Sales, answering incoming calls, and updating website/software with In-stock inventory.
Organize and operate parts department.
Enter parts and costs into software such as QuickBooks etc. Creates Projects and Invoices.
Act as a liaison between vendors, mechanics, and customers.
Assesses customer needs, gathers customer information, relays estimate amounts to customers, collects deposits for repair estimates, acquires customers approval on estimates.
Works with service staff/mechanics, and customers to schedule field service job assignments.
Processes receiving, verifies packing slip against order, enters items into inventory software.
Follow procurement practices in obtaining parts and equipment for Vernal Hay.
Maintains consumables in shop: paper towels, cleaners, and other materials.
Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of agricultural parts and supplies and 1-year related experience.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Ability to increase sales by anticipating customer needs by suggesting up sales.
Utilization of time management skills.
Attentive to detail including the ability to observe multiple activities and quickly identify any issues.
Ability to detect hazards and correct problems to ensure a safe working environment.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and accurately interpret the English language.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Responsible to meet all expectations successfully of the essential functions and perform the required skills and abilities including, and not limited to loading hay into customer vehicles throughout the day.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to write legibly and have a good command of the English language.
Must be able to respond to inquiries from public and other agencies.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense to execute instructions furnished in written or oral communications.
Ability to communicate understandable instructions to public, staff, and management in day-to-day operations of the office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

HAZARDS
There are no significant harmful hazards that are present for this position.
Work in office setting under florescent lighting which may cause minimal eye strain but can be accommodated to individual needs.
The noise level is usually moderate.
