Job Summary

Work Shift

1 - First ShiftAre you the type of person who excels at team leadership and always has the customer in mind? In this role you will lead daily tactical quality activities within plant operations, including in-process and final inspections, rework verification, shop-floor problem solving, and quality improvement. We're looking for a customer focused leader that strives to support their team to achieve quality and operations goals.

What You'll Do

1. Manage plant tactical quality activities including staffing, team member development, and production support.

2. Ensure quality staff verifies quality conformance of all products.

3. Lead teams in the investigation of quality issues and support corrective action through root-cause analysis.

4. Communicate and collaborate with operations, manufacturing engineering, engineering, procurement, and other functional areas as needed.

5. Audit manufacturing processes for sustained execution and effectiveness. Propose and support manufacturing process improvements.

6. Execute Hold-for-Disposition, Deviation, Ship Hold, and other quality processes, as appropriate.

What We're Looking For

- High School Diploma and three years' previous job experience utilizing problem solving methodologies, auditing process, inspecting products, and improving quality performance.

- Two years' experience in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

- Two years' of leadership experience required.

- Continuous improvement experience preferred

- Ability to operate a variety of assembly tools and a variety of measurement devices.

- Ability to engage in multiple projects and issues across the entire plant or business segment.

- Knowledge of Quality processes and business systems (PDM, Digital Instructions, Glovia).

- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and statistical quality control.

- Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office, CAD and other software.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
