Seven Oaks Recreation, located in Boone Iowa, is seeking a full-time year-round hands-on Assistant Operations Manager. Year-round starting salary is $50,000.00 - $56,000.00. The right hire will wear many hats on a daily and seasonal basis and have a willingness to learn. They will assist with the duties of our Operations Manager. During the winter months these duties will include assisting with our snow making and grooming operation, as well as diagnostic troubleshooting of issues on chairlifts, rope tows, handle tows, snow making and grooming equipment. During the non-ski season duties will include preventative maintenance on all equipment, general repairs around the facility, maintaining and troubleshooting issues with our fleet of school buses and light-duty trucks, and understanding and assisting with our river float operation.

Qualified applicants should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision as well as with the Seven Oaks team and have the ability to adapt and be flexible with the changes within the business. They will also be a critical thinker with exceptional organizational skills.

Candidates must have or be willing to learn electrical troubleshooting and use and understand a multimeter. Ideal candidates will have a valid driver’s license, be comfortable with the outdoors any season, and have knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and be able to work at varying heights up to 40’. Weekends are a must during the winter months (Mid-November- Mid-March) and some summer weekends will be necessary (mid June- Mid-August). Days off change dependent on the season- ski season, river float season and in-between seasons. Prefer candidates who have or who are willing to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.

Salary is commensurate with demonstrable skills and abilities.
