About the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team on a permanent basis to manage the UK & Ireland sales territory.

The job holder will be responsible for account development and implementation for all products and services offered and will be required to work closely with the with R&D, operations, chemical & analytical development teams to prepare and present proposals.

Key responsibilities

In this role you will be required to achieve budgeted revenue for the assigned territory. 

You will be responsible for account development and implementation for all products and services offered and will be required to source, develop and execute both short & long-term business strategies to identify high value opportunities.

What you need for the role

To succeed in this role you will have;

  • BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related subject. 
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing environment with an understanding of chemical processes & sound manufacturing practices. 
  • Experience in sales or business development 
  • Relevant experience in sales or business development with preferred experience in selling a service.
  • An ability to effectively communication, be flexible, build relationships, work independently and to make decisions. 
  • Knowledge of company products/services, market, and customers, tradeshows & promotional marketing
  • Knowledge of various contracts (CDA, MSA, RMA, Sales Agreement, Proposal, Appendix) 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe Acrobat 
  • Flexibility to travel to meet with current and potential customers.
