Data Analyst II
Position Summary:

As a Data Analyst II at Vera Whole Health, you will play an integral role on the Informatics team by supporting multiple stakeholders across departments including sales, client services, marketing and clinical and business leadership teams. 

Using your technical and scientific expertise and keen attention to detail, you will be responsible for conducting datamining from multiple sources, leading to the preparation of precise, high-quality informatics to support patient experience, brand, business strategies, communications and improved clinical outcomes.

Position Qualifications/Essential Functions:

• Develop efficient SQL queries to satisfy data and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the development of high-quality, accurate and compelling project reports
• Analysis and integration of qualitative insights and quantitative data.
• Strong collaboration with members of the Informatics team to develop and deliver reports, and communicate findings
• Propose and prioritize changes to reporting and create additional metrics and processes based on program changes and client, patient & provider requirements
• Creation of ad-hoc reports to support timely business decisions, service evaluation, and any project work
• Participate in stakeholder and project meetings and presentations
• Learn and understand a growing range of Vera data resources and know how, when, and which to use
• Must be able to build predictive models and design experiments that produce actionable results
• Ability to lead and drive the design and development of actionable metrics and reports across a cross-functional team of stakeholders.
• Make an impact in driving Health Engagement across the nation
• Ability to pay attention to detail to the data and the reporting requirements.

Additional Qualifications Preferred

• Experience with insurance claims information and related reporting – specifically as relates to population health management.
• Significant experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Tableau or similar reporting tools
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
• Good understanding of data visualization techniques
• 2-3 years of experience with database management and reporting
• Experience with Optum Analytics tools such as Impact Intelligence, Impact Pro, or Optum One a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, life sciences, or health management is preferred
• Healthcare delivery industry experience required; knowledge of business intelligence and financial analysis
• Good knowledge of statistics
