Position Purpose:
This position is critical to ensure wastewater meets the contractual and regulatory requirements for discharge to local waterways and ultimately Lake Michigan, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To meet this goal requires a number of trades, operators and managers working as a coordinated team to maintain the system. This position is one of those required for this team. Under supervision, monitors, controls and makes necessary adjustments to the various flows to operate assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner, and to produce a saleable product, Milorganite. Required to accurately maintain and update records, documents, and manuals including electronic media. Must provide current, timely, accurate, and complete data, for all work assigned. Required to follow current company/department policy and procedures, also required to fully participate in improvement initiatives, including but not limited to: job plans, workflows, job safety analysis, standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance improvement initiatives, efficiency activities, use of technology-based solutions, condition assessments and reliability initiatives.
