This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment in support of our client's product development efforts. Role Responsibilities:• Develop conceptual and production intent tooling models using CAD software.• Attend customer meetings as required• Develop design strategies with suppliers and customers• Provide detailed reports of issues and resolutions to customer and team• Provide daily team updates• Lead product design reviews• Support and lead quoting activities• Coordination of offsite/offshore engineering activities• Support tooling business development Requirements:• 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in tooling development and procurement• Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading a design team• Strong Proficiency in CAD modeling and detailing.• Strong proficiency in verbal communication, team leadership, and project management• Ability to travel 20% of time to clients and suppliers.• Knowledge across different tooling disciplines. Preferences• Leadership ability to guide a team of L&T engineers across multiple tooling projects.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Experience working with a global team• Microsoft Project experience• Tool Design experience across various industries.• Knowledge of industry standards and applications to tooling• Proficiency in MS project• Exposure with Automation and Machine design Primary Skills:• 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in tooling development and procurement• Knowledge across different tooling disciplines.• Strong Proficiency in CAD modeling and detailing.• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering/ Technology program or 10 years of experience in engineering design and manufacturing preferred.• Strong proficiency in verbal communication, team leadership, and project management• Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading a design team• Ability to travel 20% of time to clients and suppliers.
