Velentium, a Houston-based professional engineering firm, specializes in the end-to-end design, development, manufacturing and post-market support of therapeutic and diagnostic active medical devices. The Finance/R&D Process Manager will report directly to the Senior VP of Operations with a dotted line to the CFO and office in our Katy, TX location. The position will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Operations management as well as the Accounting & Finance staff.

What You WilI Do?

As the Finance/R&D Process Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the following: 

• Real time reporting of portfolio financials
• Building out reports/dashboards within the ERP system
• Ensuring data integrity within the Project Management module of the ERP system
• Customer invoicing and contract management (includes revenue recognition & percentage of completion calculations)
• Revenue forecasting
• Resource planning
• Overall project budget and estimate to completion calculations
• Support Finance’s work in analyzing project profitability and present to management
• Work with Strategic Sales to maximize organic growth across the portfolio
• Assist Operations in identifying gaps in Quality Management System deliverables
• Managing completeness of all project contracts, proposals and associated documents
• Participate in continual process improvements
• Provide input into ongoing development of ERP system to support business processes
• Ensure business processes are followed

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related analytical field
• 7-10 years of total experience

Additional Qualifications:

• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Organized with solid attention to detail
• Experience with business process improvements 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence to effectively interact with senior management on a regular basis
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on strong aptitude in Excel 
• Meaningful experience working with ERP systems with a focus on data analysis. NetSuite experience a plus
• Inquisitive: willing to ask questions and seek to understand before acting
