We are adding to our SW Mobile Engineering team. We are looking for experienced engineers with iOS and Android development experience to join our team in our Katy/Richmond, Texas office.

What You WilI Do?

As a member of our Mobile Development team, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

• Mobile Team Lead & Mobile Scrum Master
• Mobile application design and architecture
• Pull request management, including review and approval
• Medical device mobile apps
• General purpose mobile apps
• Write Unit Tests Unit Integration Tests for Class A, B, C support
• Development of reusable mobile software tools and architectures
• Mobile Apps with BLE connected Embedded Device integration testing
• Risk Analysis, Requirements, and code reviews
• End to End System Testing which includes Connected Devices, Mobile Apps, Cloud integrations, Cloud deployment, Application deployment
• Because we are an engineering services company and a medical device manufacturer, our work varies based on our project load

Requirements

 Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or computer science AND 1 published App OR 3 published Apps
• 7 years of mobile development experience

Additional Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team for a single project as well as work as individual contributor
• Demonstrated mastery of Native Android SDK development in Kotlin, Android Jetpack frameworks, BLE experience, RxJava/RxKotlin, Realm, & AWS SDK experience
• Demonstrated mastery of Native Android development in Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, implementing MVVM architectures, implementing WorkManager with deep understanding of foreground & background processing, push & local notifications and writing unit & unit integration tests
• Demonstrated mastery of integrating Mobile, Galen Cloud, AWS, Azure, and/or Embedded Systems Tech Stacks
• Architect skills for complex mobile applications involving communication interfaces, 3rd Party APIs, Cloud interfaces
• Experience of variety of software development practices and methodologies like Agile, TDD, Spiral, Waterfall etc and version control using Git
• An ability to define, document and code against detailed software requirements
• Demonstrated participation in every phase of software development V-model
• Experience of estimating effort for larger App work packages and translating them to smaller actionable tickets
• A love for and understanding of software engineering and engineering practices. We need more than simply coders. We need problem solvers
• Demonstrated project experience that displays an ability to learn and apply new skills
• A desire to thrive in a rapidly changing and quick paced environment
• An attitude of doing whatever it takes to figure out the solution to challenging engineering problems

Nice to haves: IEC 62304, IEC 82304, ISO 14971 knowledge, cross platform development experience, BLE Stack Mods, Appium or other automated test frameworks, software design patterns
