Velentium has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Intern.

The Electrical Engineering Intern at Velentium work with cross-functional teams to identify the needs and the goals of future products. You will research new technologies, perform engineering testing, assess business requirements and regulations. You may work with a variety of tools, including Altium, PSPICE, FEA, and SolidWorks to develop concepts, prototypes, test fixtures and actual products. As an Intern you will utilize your technical education to contribute to designing new products and driving them from concept to production.

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform engineering characterization testing on prototype product
• Provide feedback on designs or improved performance
• Develop automated test fixtures and scripts for testing hardware and firmware/software
• Research new technologies
• Solve technical engineering challenges through research, design and testing
• Document testing results in written reports and present findings to team

Requirements

• Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related Electrical Engineering or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with Electrical Design tools such as Altium and Spice
• Experience with Electrical test equipment: oscilloscope, power supplies, multi-meters, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Design engineering, or related experience
