Our Buyer/Planner will work with both manufacturing and R&D to fulfill sourcing requirements and support the overall manufacturing process by aiding in the the production plan scheduling process for raw materials and other components.

What You wilI Do?

As a Buyer/Planner, you will be responsible for the following:

• Serve as the main point of contact between suppliers and Velentium
• Fulfill sourcing requirements for both manufacturing and R&D departments. Machining, electronics, and plastic knowledge a plus.
• Assist in qualifying vendors for Velentium’s Approved Supplier List. Subsequently, maintain relationships by communicating and enforcing efficient and high standards including on-time delivery and quality. 
• Monitor and relay supplier performance (OTD, Quality, Spend)
• RMA requests for nonconforming products
• Familiar with using an ERP system to place purchase orders (direct and indirect) and planning functions
• Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
• Support the overall manufacturing process by aiding in the production plan scheduling process for raw materials and other components
• Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required
• Ability to consistently meet/ exceed department KPIs including OTD, LIFM, Cost savings

Requirements

 Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience working in Supply Chain and souring in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business 
• Experience in medical device industry 
• Planning, Logistics and Procurement experience
• Familiarity working with a middle market or large scale ERP system(s): NetSuite a plus
• Experienced user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and able to learn other software products quickly (Gmail for Business a plus)
• Great organization skills and the ability to balance multiple demands 
• Good written and verbal communication skills: bi-lingual Spanish and/or Chinese a plus
• Effective critical thinking and negotiation skills
