Vanguard Construction Solutions is a construction monitoring consulting firm specializing in providing our clients with an added level of protection against unsubstantiated litigation through a variety of monitoring services such as:

These services offer an added level of protection against potentially damaging effects of construction vibration, and prevent expensive litigation resulting from perceived (but unsubstantiated) damage to neighboring buildings.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an exceptional FIELD TECHNICIAN. The satisfaction of our clients is of utmost importance, which entails having a Field Technician who is well suited to meet their ever-changing needs through critical thinking, problem solving, and world-class customer service. This position will be the link between the company’s office and field staff which will require constant communication with all parties.

FIELD TASKS:

• Conduct field inspections such as crack gauge monitoring, seismic unit installation and seismic unit maintenance on an as needed basis.
• This is mostly an outdoor position, so the right candidate would not have a problem with the cold or warm weather.
• Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills in order to do so efficiently.
• Be a critical thinker and problem solver. Each project is different, and it is imperative that the field technician is able to adapt to any unusual or unforeseen conditions.
• Have a strong understanding of the services we provide and be able to explain any technical matter to the clients

OFFICE WORK:

• Ability to write professional correspondence to vendors and clients regarding on-site services, scheduling, etc.
• Ability to write field reports when needed
• Knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Two-years of experience in field construction (or relevant degree)
• Ability to drive significant distances and travel between multiple job sites on a daily basis
• Experience with installation of wireless monitoring systems is a plus
• Experience managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests.
• Ability to navigate electronic databases
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload and shift work activities in order to meet business needs and department goals
• Capacity to physically lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid driver's license.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
